my irfanview 4.23 can not open the attachment with russian filename. If I rename it there is no problem.
actual filename: Безымянный2_.JPG
my windows XP is a german version, the cyrillic name is printed fine in Windows Explorer.

Enable the Unicode plugin in Properties, Language.
Before you post ... fill in your OS and IV version in your profile.

fine, that helped, thanks. But in the head line of the irfanview window the filename looks like ????????.jpg. The filename is fine with the explorer.
The plugin supports Unicode — IrfanView does not.
